Laptop Cat Books is a Norwich based publishing company. I worked with them to create the Laptop Cat Books brand identity. The brand name was inspired by the lead publisher’s three cats, who often sit on his laptop whilst he works. This informed a playful and quirky identity, which has been used for book spines, business cards and a range of printed collateral.
As part of my work with Laptop Cat books, I have also designed several book covers, including the Shadowland Hexology – a six-part gothic horror series. To make the books feel tactile and timeless, they were developed using collage and mark-making techniques.
This project spanned six years, from 2019 to 2025, and is now complete, with all six books published as a cohesive series.
